Official Reference Documentation for The Curtiss Annotation Nomenclature (C.A.N.) System
All notable changes to the Curtiss Annotation Nomenclature (CAN) Guide will be documented in this file.
The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.
The Official Guide to The CAN System of Codes and Emphasizers uses Semantic Versioning. Version changes (generally) follow this framework:
Changes are reviewed as feedback is submitted and updates to the Guide are grouped together to minimize the number of new versions.
Each version includes a SHA-256 checksum for integrity verification that you can use to authenticate it (if you’d like to). To do this, in the Version History section below, click on the version number and download the guide, then open your terminal, navigate to the guide and run the command provided in that version’s section. The output you receive should match the Expected Output for that version.
